Actually I would probably just try to keep the biased things to a minimum. Ahhh forget it, who am I kidding I am going to put in all the events and make sure they are remembered the way I want them. The war in Iraq and the presidential foul ups would make it into my history. As for older things definitely keep all of the history regarding famous leaders and warlords (Alexander the Great, Rommel, etc). Other than that I would definitely put in any events where people really screwed up or did something terrible because of ignorance or lunacy. Something like maybe the Inquisition or the wars in Africa.

Summer to Remember
Actually I am thinking of trying to remember as much as I can from this year. During the summer I plan on taking a look at the material that we learned and keep myself refreshed. Also I am planning to continue my studies of the German language. Also I have to find other co-op possibilities in case I do not get a job through the university (big surprise). Other than that I am going to go on a training program; I need to get ready so I can compete in an upcoming tournament, and I also need to try out for the all US kendo team. There also some things I want to try out in regard to my martial arts. Umm then I think I will hang out with my friends and do some stuff. I might also go back to Japan for a few, and visit my parents and relatives.

Public Events
Well I am not exactly sure what events I would put in. Actually I might just make fun of events that occurred during my life on Earth. For example insult the media, and TV for their absurd shows and bias. Also I would put in the election of President Bush and the whole Iraq ordeal. Other than that I do not really have any other events. Oh, the new Japanese Prime Minister would make it into the list. I still cannot believe that fool is there, and all the scandals in Japan are a big deal too.

Short Story
Probably an A- or B+. My paper was fairly strong and all the points were given enough evidence to support them. My thesis was a little abstract though, it might not really be that good in retrospect. I also tend to be a little too much to the point, although on essays I try not to be. I also probably should have worked on the flow of the paper and the grammar. Some of it just did not flow well.

The SARS question
Well I assume we are talking about the US government. I believe the government has to do what is necessary to maintain the safety of a greater number of people. I would allow myself to be quarantined if they suspected me of being infected. I think that it is my responsibility to do what I can to protect the citizens of this world in the ways I can. By refusing to quarantine myself I could possibly infect even more people; that is not a responsibility I am willing to accept. I am sure many people will cry and complain about the slight lack of freedom, and rights. But hey would you rather die? And I think those who say yes need to reevaluate their priorities. Losing your freedom for no reason other than control is not acceptable but if it is to save the nation then why not?

Peer Response
Hmm, not really sure how good the online peer review was. It was definitely easier for me to do the peer review. However I noticed that there were a lot less comments then previous reviews. Almost nothing on the paper was marked and there were fewer critical remarks. It was helpful though to know what the teacher’s criteria was though. It was still useful though, I got the feedback that I needed.

Damn I must be an idiot, I think I can feel myself get dumber everyday. Well this is definately a late posting but better to put it up than give up and say I missed the time limit. I cannot believe I forgot to post this part.

As a team we did a good job on our project, however there could have been a lot more teamwork. Did that even make sense? Anyway, it was more like each of us individually did a portion of the project and at the end we were able to stick it all together and make everything look okay. I do not think we really worked on any portion of the project together, usually one person does, another checks, and so on. For my next major project I am hoping to do something that I am more interested in. Oh nanotechnology is interesting but I am not really interested in researching it, unless it has applications to military research. That is what I am really hoping to do for a next project, something that has some immediate or secondary application in the military. Also I think I should work with a group where I do not know anyone, I amy not do as well but at least I will get some valuable data regarding group interaction.

Design Process
Well nothing really surprised me that much. I mean I knew that I did not know everything about the process so I was not expecting certain things. One thing though was all the work that went into the research into making sure everything was valid and credible. Also all the citations and credits were annoying. I thought doing research just consisted of just going through doing experiments and reading about the subject. All this cross referencing and stuff was pretty tough. The proposal was also something I did not expect. I really never thought about the marketing aspect, or business influence in engineering.

Team Assessment
1.	5
2.	5
3.	5
4.	5
5.	4
6.	5
7.	4
8.	4
9.	5
10.	2
11.	4
12.	5
13.	3
14.	5
15.	5
16.	5
17.	5
18. The movie that I did not appreciate until I thought extensively about it was "The End of Evangelion". Some may say this is not a film but it is still the same basic thing as a movie. Visuals are used to display emotions and ideas. Anyway this movie is simply just messed up; at least that is what you think when you watch it for the first time. After thinking about what happens and all the characters though you get an understanding of what is really going on in the movie. The first time I saw this movie I thought it was not really good. There were so many questions left unanswered, and many confusing events occurred. However this is what made the movie very good. When I analyzed the movie I could not believe how good of a story it was. Well that is my opinion of the matter anyway.

Fiber Optic NanoBionsensors
Currently there is no documented method to mass produce nanobiosensors. Our team has created a process to develop these nanoprobes in a relatively cheap and simple method. The nanoprobes are constructed from optical fibers and the probe diameter must be less than 140 nanometers. In order to accurately produce consistant results the Sutter Instruments P-2000 Micropipette Puller was employed to form the probes. The optical fibers chosen for our project also had a special cladding (p-93 something number) in order to make it removable with the use of acetone.

Presentation or Lecture?
Well I can safely say that I believe our group did a very good job during our presentation. We hit all of the criteria and used very good visuals and everybody understood what we were saying. The one thing that might have been a detriment was how we spoke. The presentation was very presentation, we all stood up there and waited for our turn to speak. However it was a little bit dry. I mean it was more like a lecture than an actual presentation of our product. That is just how it all worked out. Actually I personally think a presentation of this type should be more like a lecture. You should fully explain what your product is and all of its uses. It should not have to be extremely entertaining of “hot”. It should be able to sell itself due to its qualities.

Beautifying the World
Actually I do not have anything in my dorm room for pure aesthetic value. I have no posters, pictures, or works of art. My roommate on the other hand has a lot of things mounted on his wall. I am definitely not a big fan of buying things to simply leave up on the wall. However at one point I had a few things around my room at my house. There I had 2 posters and a bunch of pieces of paper with quotes and poems written on them. The only reason I go the posters was because they had to do with an anime series I like, and although I did hang them up I never really looked at them. The poems and quotes I liked more. The one quote Aku Zoku Zan, which translates to “Kill Evil Swiftly” is something I used to look at everyday. It just lets me remember and think about a lot of things. I also had the “Charge of the Light Brigade” too. I used to sit there reading it and wondering and respecting those who died in battle. So I only put up things that make me feel something from within. Objects that just look pretty or are just there for show are not welcome in my room.

Museums I Remember
I have been to a number of museums throughout my short life. Some of them were in Japan too. In America I have gone to the Franklin Institute in D.C., Art Museum here in Philadelphia, a Japanese Gardening Museum somewhere near Philadelphia, and the civil war museum at Gettysburg. In Japan I have gone to the Tokyo National Art Museum, the military weapons museum, 2 castles(which served as museums), and another museum about prehistoric life. All of the ones in Japan I went with my parents, the ones in America were also mostly with my parents and a few were with my school. The best things I remember are the exhibits, I am always interested in seeing the creations of the past. For the most part I got to see everything I wanted to so it was an enjoyable experience. However on the school trips I was not allowed to just wander anywhere so that took away from the experience. I could not take the time to see what I wanted. The ones in Japan were a lot more enjoyable. Also the lines to get into the museum, and the number of people around an exhibit at the larger museums were a minus. I hated having to wait in order to see the pieces.

Mac or PC?
Uh oh this is going to be a tough question. Hmm I am wondering though if you are asking which I prefer or which I know has better qualities. The PC overall is a better regular ¡§person¡¨ computer. Although the windows system does have a lot more problems, it is usually easier to mess around with and use. The mac is more stable but has a lot less help and such. The Mac is a great multimedia tool, it has an awesome set up to do media editing and program running. The problem is that Mac does allow their source code to be used by other, thus the shortage in programs for the Mac; especially in the gaming industry. The Mac has about 4 games for its system the PC has over 300. If a regular person wanted a comp they would most likely take the PC. I personally like the PC is because I use it mainly for games, music, movie, and viewing things. I do not do any type of editing. The only computer thing I do is computer programming. Which I can easily do on my PC. However I did notice that programs take longer to process on the PC, the macs do it so much faster. However since you cannot easily upgrade Macs or fix them I say PC¡¦s are better; do not get me wrong though Gates of Windows is the Devil of this world! Just kidding, I am the real one. ƒº

Hmmm my previous post did not publish. Of course I always enjoy reading fictional literature but the nature of the stories were not very interesting. The only "interesting" story was the one where those people were sitting around the room talking about love and other nonsense. What made it good was the different opinions included in the story. It was not only the views accepted by the majority but also views that were not popular or might be labeled as bad, strange and the like. Well what can I say, I only really like science fiction stories or those that really make you think about the world and your life.

What do I think? Hmmm I am not really sure. I mean whether or not it was inappropriate is not the point. You should always listen to someone (as long as they are not trying to beat you). The voice of dissent is just as important as the voices of praise. Why should we not listen to him and push him off as some dumb crock that has no respect for others? Does everybody want messages to be hidden within the actual dialogue? I commend Moore for having the courage to stand up in public and criticize the president. A leader is someone that the people should be able to follow without question and without doubt. However if he/she does have flaws within then it is the responsibility of the people around him/her and the ones following him/her to acknowledge it and try to solve those issues.

Ethics? Actually I think I talked about that before in a previous journal. Well regardless it looks like I will still have to talk about. Ethics are something that are relative to each individual person. Whether it is culture, family, environment, or some other variable each can shape and alter a persons view of the world. I do not really do anything about unethical issues, unless it is occurring directly in front of me. I understand that there are people who go out of their way to battle the “injustices” of the world, but I am not that zealous. I live my life and that is it. Of course I am not saying that it is correct or acceptable to do something I believe is unethical but I just do not choose to actively stop it. If for example there was some country committing genocide I would view that as unethical. However I would not get my gear backed up and then go over there to destroy the government. The views I hold are probably similar to many but are more extreme and are not as kind or forgiving. Killing is not something that I shun, in fact sometimes I think killing is the only choice left. I am sure others have their own opinions and you are welcome to that, but this is how I feel. If somebody is killing others and making people suffer then I would say kill them. In fact maybe you should even instill terror and pain into them before they die, a sort of repayment for their previous actions. Also behavior which is actively offensive to others and does not respect human life also something I do not appreciate.

what am I supposed to do?

Just finished creating my account
